Plot is a small experiment. This page says what it stores and why. There is no advertising and no tracking. There is no analytics either.
What we collect
- When you sign in with Google: your Google account identifier, email address, display name and profile picture URL. We only request the
openid,emailandprofilescopes. - What you do on Plot: the sectors you claim (coordinates, creation time) and the content you put in them.
- Cookies: one session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived cookie used during sign-in. Both are strictly necessary; there are no advertising or analytics cookies (the optional visit counter uses none).
- Reports: when you flag a sector we keep the sector, the reason, your note, the date and who reported it: your account, or for visitors a one-way hash of the network address (never the address itself).
- Technical logs: our host, Cloudflare, processes requests (IP address, user agent) to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
- to sign you in and attribute the sectors you own;
- to enforce limits, handle reports and ban abusive accounts.
What is public
The sectors you claim and everything you put in them are visible to anyone with the link, and shareable by URL. Your name, email and picture are not shown to other users.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your data. It is processed by Google (sign-in) and Cloudflare (hosting and database) on our behalf.
Retention and your rights
Data is kept while your account exists. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account and all your sectors at any time (see Contact below); we will act on it within a reasonable delay. You can also revoke Plot's access from your Google account settings.
